Meet Edison

The affordable educational robot, now on Brazil.

More than just a robot!

With the lowest cost on the market and with more sensors built in than any robot in its class, Edison robots are the perfect complement to any classroom. Allow all students to truly learn from their own robot without sacrificing their budget.

Light up the imagination of your students! Edison robots are modular and easily expandable using LEGO® blocks or EdCreate's own kit. Enrich your students with experience in STEM education and promote creative problem solving through interactive engineering and programming projects.

Make robot programming fun, easy to learn and powerful with multiple programming languages. From drag-and-drop block-based coding to text-based coding with Python, Edison can be programmed using any of its educational robot programming languages.

Integrating Edison into your classroom is easy with our free teaching resources designed to help educators develop robotic and coding skills. All of its resources, including lesson plans, teacher guides, and student worksheets, are free to download and licensed under Creative Commons.

Easy to use

Using the six pre-programmed robot activities defined by bar codes, children up to four years old are able to learn the fundamentals of computer thinking and computer programming. With guides and resources for all levels, everyone can be an Edison programmer!

Built to last

Ready for immediate use, the Edison robot is a powerful and engaging tool to teach students computational thinking and computer programming in a practical way. Edison robots are designed to withstand the classroom environment, making them the perfect tool for all of your STEM projects.

A robot, infinite possibilities

All of it's programming languages are totally free to use with your Edison robot!

Edison can be programmed using any of its programming languages. You can easily use the same Edison robot with different languages - just open the desired programming software application, plug in your Edison and get started!

All of the programming languages of the robot for Edison can be accessed through a browser - no additional software is required.

EdBlocks is a fully icon-based programming language that is super easy to use. A drag-and-drop-based system, EdBlocks is intuitive and fun, even for younger users. Perfect for introducing anyone to programming, EdBlocks is ideal for students over 7 years of age.

EdScratch is a visual block language based on Scratch based vertical blocks. EdScratch combines drag-and-drop programming with powerful functionality and versatility. The result is a robot programming language that is easy to learn and offers a robust platform for computer science education for students over 10 years of age.

EdPy is a highly versatile text-based programming language based on Python. EdPy makes text-based programming fun, allowing students to see their code come to life on their Edison robot. With EdPy, students are learning the core of a real programming language and are able to take their exploration of robotics and coding to a more advanced level - perfect for students over 13 years of age.

EdCreate - The Edison 5-in-1 Creative Kit

Edison's 5-in-1 creative kit is a building system consisting of 115 interconnected building parts, pins, gears and other parts. Individual EdCreate parts are designed with pins and holes compatible with Edison robots and any other LEGO® compatible construction system.

An EdCreate kit can be used to create five different EdBuilds and a host of other engineering and design challenges. The kit can also be expanded with other parts of the LEGO® compatible construction system.
